One its to hard to register a complaint and just as hard to get to actually talk to a person on the phone *** its hard to even get the doctor office on the phone everyone wants us to use a damn app instead of just talking to a customer in person but I guess thats the problem as to why we just give up

Today I had the worst experience at the hospital. First let me start l'm a patient of the hospital for over 4 year.
I have history of cellulitis and being hospitalized many time because my cellulitis is hard to treat. was hospitalized at advent like three times last year for the cellulitis. I have history of 17 years with cellulitis in the same spot all the time. I had gone to emergency doctors 2 days prior and they said that I need to go to the hospital.
So Today I had the worst experience with Dr. Roody Alcinord,pa. He discharged me and question that is not cellulitis. A whole bunch of phycisian came to speak to me, but they did not get me no other doctor, just nurses.
I was very frustrated and got a panic attack I had to take my anxiety. The last person who came to speak to me came and told me the same thing so ! said ok ! agree to get discharged but I was very dissatisfied with the care so proceed to leave the hospital, but on my way out the front desk said goodnight and I explained my dissatisfaction with the hospital so she call for another doctor to come speak to me.
I was waiting for like for 10 minute till I saw security coming toward me and said that I was already discharged that I need to leave the hospital and I was only there because the lady in front desk call for someone to come speak to me, basically I was thrown out like a criminal worst experience ever, ! would never back tO the hospital, the nurse were very riendly and professional but the doctor doesn't know what hes doing.
I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. Im very dissatisfied with the doctor and I would never come back to this hospital.

I went to the Advent ER in Lake Nona on 6/25/25
I had two problems with my visit.
The first was they kept my drivers license and my health care card and called me after I returned home to Merritt Island to let me know they had them.
The Second problem was they did not list the results for the light blue top test and the rainbow draw test in my chart. I am seeing a cardiologist on Merritt Island on 6/21/25 and is not part of Advent and he will not have access to the results.
Under the 21st Century Cures Act, healthcare providers are required to make test results available to patients as soon as they are finalized. Please provide the results to my chart ASAP.

Verified ReviewerWorst medical appointment ever
One hour and a half wait. 5-minute doctor visit.
No time to express any concerns. Lab order written in advance of seeing the doctor.
The physician hardly came near me and seemed in a hurry to conclude the visit. Advent customer service has gone by the wayside in order to downsize staff and make money.

With this medication, however comes VERY significant side effects if you fail to take your dosage. I only had 2 weeks left on my current prescription so I wrote them in the Portal requesting a refill and explaining I was down to 12 pills left. I received a message back that they had sent it to the doctor and I would have my refill the next day.
Well it wasn't there the next day or even the third day so I called them to speak with someone in person. She apologized for the mistake and promised to get it out that day. Being so fearful of the withdrawal effects, and not wanting to be a pain in the *** I asked her to assure me a second time to confirm I'd get it that day to which she replied "ABSOLUTELY".
As you may have anticipated, it still didn't come and after more repeated calls and promises they were sending it to my pharmacy, THEY NEVER SENT IT. This caused me tremendous headaches and a serious "floating" feeling that caused me a week's loss of work.
Finally, I found a doctor with a competent staff and got it done. All my other doctors and surgeons are with Advent and could not be more professional and responsive. This office, however, really didn't give a ***

Verified Reviewer |Scammed by the company
This company scammed me and threatened me to sign up for their services. While traveling to Denver, I experienced mountain sickness that persisted even after a week in the city, so I decided to visit AdventHealth ER & Urgent Care Meridian on February 8 to have my blood pressure checked.
Upon arrival, I was informed that Urgent Care was closing soon and they would take me to the ER instead. When I inquired about the cost, they assured me it would be a maximum of $500. All they did was check my vitals and administer IV medication to alleviate my headache and nausea. During this time, they asked if I had recently felt depressed or had negative thoughts.
I said yes, because I had recently lost my job and had been feeling quite depressed for the last few months. They then insisted on transferring me to another mental ER, suspecting that I might harm myself due to depression. I clarified that I had never harbored such thoughts and was merely feeling sad. However, they threatened that if I refused to go with them, they would call the police and have me arrested, which I later discovered was untrue.
They exploited my anxious and scared state to coerce me into signing up for another treatment. They assured me that the mental ER would merely confirm that I was mentally stable and then release me. Even the staff admitted they believed I was fine and wouldn't harm myself but insisted on proceeding. They forcibly placed me in an ambulance (despite my recent job loss and inability to afford another ER visit or ambulance service) and transported me to the mental facility.
There, they confiscated my clothes and belongings, including my cell phone, preventing any contact with the outside world, and locked me in a cell. I was essentially arrested for feeling sad. I was later informed that no doctor was available to evaluate me, so I would have to spend the night. It was impossible to sleep due to the presence of severely mentally ill individuals screaming throughout the night.
When a doctor finally arrived in the morning, they conducted an evaluation and confirmed I was fine to go home. Later, they sent me a bill for $20,681.90 for the first ER visit and $19,691.41 for the night in the mental facility. After insurance, I was still expected to pay $4,876.58, plus more than a thousand for the ambulance, and additional bills for ER physicians, despite their initial promise of a $500 maximum charge.

I had emergency and follow-up procedures at two Advent hospitals 30 miles apart. They have been billing me for different amounts ranging from $186,000 to $198.
My insurer and I have tried to rectify the issues, but we get nothing but a runaround from Advent.
Years later, I still can't get an answer. I am frustrated beyond belief.

**Horrible Experience - Avoid This Hospital at All Costs**
My experience with this hospital was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn others about the carelessness and lack of compassion we encountered. My son, who has autism, split his head open at school, and after taking him to urgent care, we were directed to this children's hospital.
The urgent care advised that a child life specialist and sedation would be necessary for my son, given his condition, and that staying within network would help with billing. Unfortunately, thats where our ordeal began.
Upon arriving at the hospital, the doctor was extremely rude and dismissive. I was shocked when they told me they do not sedate children, and when I requested a child life specialist to assist with my sons needs, I was told they didnt have one and that wed have to go without. They applied numbing cream to my sons head, then left us waiting for nearly two hours.
When they finally returned, they informed me they didnt have the staff to hold my son down, so I would have to restrain him myself.
The experience was traumatic for both of us. After the staples were finally put in, they left us in the room for another hour, promising to bring pain medication for my son, who was understandably upset and physically violent towards me because he couldn't comprehend why he was being held down. To make matters worse, the staff brought him a popsicle without consulting me, which contained an allergen for hima glaring oversight that could have been avoided by simply checking his chart.
When it was time to have the staples removed, I was hesitant to return but did so because I assumed the billing would be bundled. While there, I spoke with a floor supervisor about our previous experience, believing this would lead to a formal complaint.
Unfortunately, it seems any complaints made on the floor are simply swept under the rug. Despite my grievances, I ended up receiving six separate bills from the hospital, urgent care, and the physicians. I later learned I needed to open a case with risk management, which was just as frustrating.
Risk managements investigation was a joke. They sent me a letter stating they dont offer sedation due to the risks and apologized for not offering a child life specialist, even though I had specifically requested one and was told it wasnt available.
They completely ignored the fact that they gave my son something he was allergic to. After months of trying to resolve this, the hospital sent my bills to collections.
This traumatic experience didnt end at the hospital. Since then, my son has required additional therapy to work through the behavioral problems caused by this treatment. These extra therapy sessions have added significant costs that we now have to bear.
Weve also had to pay for several visits where no work could be performed due to his overwhelming fear, yet we were still expected to pay the bill.
This has been the worst medical experience of my life, which says a lot considering I used to work in the medical field. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone and will go out of my way to avoid it in the future.

I responded saying I went public with it because that's my right and I've had to deal with this twice already and informed their admissions office of what happened I just received a $4,000 bill from that night at the hospital and the doctor didn't even do anything so nothing's been resolved.
I went in on the 17th of July because I passed out hit my head on the floor. The first time I went they forgot about me and left me in the back room didn't say anything to me waited waited and waited almost 5 hours until my wife got mad and said something to him.
Second time I went for my heart again with same shift doctor I seen the RN once at about 7:30 p.m.
she gave me a shot of morphine and 9:00 over around my wife to go to the RN and ask her what's taking so long because they wanted to admit me nothing till 10:00 I have Parkinson's so I shake real bad. The doctor that was on shift I didn't see it all that night I didn't get a diagnosis or nothing when I said I wanted to leave because I didn't feel like your doctor was doing his job the RN got mad started throwing things around in the room for me to sign but I have never seen the doctor not one time the whatever shift was there when I came in did a wonderful job I ended up finding myself out and going home cuz at that point in my parking since was all over the place if they were help going to help me they would have gave me a diagnosis I left out of there with no paperwork or anything not even a diagnosis or nothing

Lying Dr. and scare tactics
Dr. in Clermont had PA tell my husband his heart was 20% with a blood clot and blood in the fluid sac.
Told him to go to their ER next door and then will get transferred to the hospital in Orlando. Bottom line, ER doctor said he saw nothing wrong after 3 hours of more testing. Signed out and went home, Dr. called and didn't even know we left.
Then tried to blame it on the PA as a "miscommunication".
Avoid AdventHealth. They will try and scare you to unnecessary treatments.

On March 26, 2024 I went to Advent Health 4140 Woodlands Parkway Pam Harbor Florida. My insurance is Florida Blue I get one physical a year at no cost.
Advent Health billed me 135.00 dollars when it should have been no charge. I called them and told them that with my insurance I get one physical a year no charge. Advent Health billing department response was your insurance company accepted it so you owe us the money.
I called Florida Blue they were of no help whatsoever they told me that they could email me a dispute form to fill out. I will never use Advent Health again as far as I am concerned they are thieves and Florida Blue is worthless.

Verified ReviewerILLICIT BILLING
Advent kept sending an amount due bill repeatedly every month for a year. However, we did not owe them any balance.
It had been paid. We called them, giving them all three account numbers printed on the bill. We said, 'Stop sending this bill!' They stated they could not find the account, and therefore could not stop sending the bill. Nevertheless, they would be glad to accept the money.
Do not use their services.
Go elsewhere for medical care, or you will be billed endlessly, even if you paid the bill. They're hoping you will keep sending your money, and they do not return the excess payments.

You need to be under the care of an infectious disease doctor referred by your primary care physician (that you visit regularly). A long term issue is not mitigated and treated in an emergency room.
I do have an infectious disease doctor that I see every 6 mo ths, I even had medication he prescribed last year, so when I felt the cellulitis coming back I started taking it, but it kept getting bigger, I went to urgent care and they gave me iv antibiotic and said to follow up in 2 days with them and follow up with the infectious disease doctor, they gave me 2 day rest from work, after I came back for the follow up they saw it wasn't getting better they said they can give me more iv antibiotic that I need to go to the hospital and they increase my dosage. The medication its keeping the redness a little u der control but its hard and it hurt, only the iv antibiotic works for it when it have blown so big.
First of all I have prior history at advent health with celluliti, but when I get its hard to treat and I have to be hospitalized several, so if you dont know my history, you shouldn't be assuming. I got the worst experience being kicked out like a criminal when I was just waiting because the lady in front told me to do so, I wasn't screaming or acting up, I was crying of impotence, I couldn't believe the hospital that I always go, had treated me this way, but trust me I would never go back
